Brenda Orellana-Quijada

Executive VA & Project Manager

Brenda Orellana (She/They) is a Project Manager and Executive Virtual Assistant for IDEA Analytics. Brenda is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, educator and production assistant currently based in New York City. Originally from Los Angeles, Brenda received their Masters in Fine Arts-Theatre from The University of Tennessee Knoxville, and their BA from CSU, Long Beach. They thrive on creating, directing, producing and coordinating productions for small theatres, private businesses and non-profit organizations. They are also Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Hear Me Roar Theatre,(@hearmetheatre) a theatre dedicated to giving a platform to underrepresented playwrights and actors. They produce and direct staged reading series, create community engagement events, and mentor, teach, and create professional development opportunities and acting strategies with young BIPOC. When they are not producing or performing, Brenda enjoys researching Central American Folklore and Indigenous Central American storytelling art forms as well as teaching volleyball to their youngest sister.

"As a Queer Central-American multidiciplinary artists, my work specifically gears away from post-colonial mindsets, structures and intentionally uplifts indigenious and afro-roots. I am committed to supporting and creating positive impact to audiences, communities and fellow artists with art that engages, stimulates and influences people to reflect, refine and embrace who we are and might become."
