Clea DeCrane

Executive VA

Clea DeCrane is the Virtual Executive Assistant for Sam Johnson at ZenBooth. Originally from Los Angeles, Clea moved east to study acting at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and Shakespeare’s Globe in London. Upon graduating, she moved to NYC and immediately began writing, producing and creating her own work. She had her playwriting debut Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters in 2018, and later founded her own production company, Station 26 Productions, that develops and produces indie films, music videos, series and branded content. She currently lives in LA, but remains bicoastal for film work. She has two short films in post-production with her company, one in pre-production, and a short digital series she’s currently writing for hire. When she’s not writing or making movies, she’s often hiking, listening to her favorite podcast (“Poog”) or body surfing at lifeguard station 26, the station she grew up going to and the name of her production company.

Artist Statement

"“What would it be like if you really meant it?” was a favorite question of an acting teacher of mine in undergrad, and one I consistently go back to in every artistic endeavor. I’ll write the first draft of something, then return with this question in mind about what I'm really trying to say. The answer is always: weirder, darker and scarier to say out loud. As an artist, I gravitate towards stories of identity crisis and the shadow sides of our most influential relationships, often living somewhere between magical realism and sci-fi, drama and dark comedy."
