Artist Statement

"Growing up as a First-Generation Asian-American in this country, all I wanted was to see myself in the films I watched and the music I listened to. As an adult, I have learned that the combination of the education-based core and the racial activism perfectly encapsulates my personal mission as a WOC in theatre. I grow in multiple disciplines in the arts so one day, a little Asian girl can say "Wow, she looks like me.""
