Jennifer strives for a more inclusive and safe world for all underrepresented communities, in the arts and beyond.

Artist Statement

"As a Mexican-American performer, my favorite part about theatre is sharing stories about my community, whether it's acting in a play that highlights my culture, performing a song about immigrant mothers, or devising new work because the story has yet to be written. I aspire to create art that is utilized as activism as there is so much power in making a statement. Marginalized communities should feel celebrated in creating and witnessing theatre. I fell in love with the vibrant, inclusive, and supportive performing arts industry in Chicago as it represents the very reason why I love theatre: it builds community."
